    Default Importing birthdate to contacts

I am importing records in csv format. I am getting erratic results when importing 2 date fields. One field is birthdate the other is a custom date field. My csv file has been created using excel. Is this a known issue? Is there a way around it? I have tried typing selective records rather than letting excel format the date fields.

    Help!!

I believe I have resolved this, however, I am not that happy with the solution. As I could not get data to load into the birthdate field, I used the studio to remove the sugar birthdate field and replace it with a custom date field. This appears to work. I understand that my new field will be local to the contacts tab, however, for this installation this will not be a problem.

Is the failure to load birthdate from a csv file a bug?

Did you try formatting the date differently when creating the csv file? Try the format yyyy-mm-dd.

Yes. I tried changing date formats in Sugar and placing quotes around them in the csv.

Sorry - I meant change the date format in the CSV itself
