    Red face Importing Chinese

I am now using sugarcrm 5.0.0.d, sql server 2005 standard, and Apache,

    My problems are:

1.Initially the collation of SQL server 2005 database is set to Latin1_General_CI_AI which is the default setting, I can import contacts with Chinese characters, and it could be displayed correctly on the webpage. However, when I try to download the data using ODBC the data is a mess. Some articles say this is the problem with the storage of UTF-8 in SQL Server, any suggestions. BTW the select all in webpage is not working right, always an error in this page notificaiton.

I have tried changing the collation to GB2312, and the export character set in UTF-8, the data can be displayed correctly in the import stage 2. However, when it goes into stage 3, sugarcrm simply stopped importing. If I key in Chinese character on the webpage, the data could be stored and shown correctly in the database.

Have no idea about what is happening here and any suggestions on how to keep the data correctly displayed on webpage, import stage and database?

    2. When I start to update contacts information and choose save and continue, sugarcrm simply does not save what I have written.

    3. If we search by created_by, the errors invalid column created_by_name.
