Hello
We are still going through our import, and we keep running into problems with the character encoding. The file we are using for the test imports (roughly 20 entries, nothing huge) is an UTF-8 (Unicode) tab delimited text file. It opens fine in notepad and any other text editing tool, as well as browsers.
However, when I try to import it through SugarCRM's import module, the characters are fudged up. But creating a completely new entry, and just copy-pasting the info from the text file into the new contact form works fine, and there are no problems with saving the entries into and retrieving them from the database. However, the import doesn't like them at all..
Any help, please? We're running the test setup on Ubuntu (yes yes..I know), with Apache and MySQL..
