Default Importing data into custom fields

    Hi !
I'm pretty new with SugarCRM (started using it with 2.5), I've tried to read about my problem in the forum but wasn't able to find answers.

I created some custom fields in 'Accounts', everything seems to work as my custom data is stored in the database.

Problems happen when I try to import a .csv, it's impossible to map a custom field to the data.

Is it just me or is SugarCRM unable to do it ?

    Thank you for your answer,

    Francois.

    Clint-

I have 2.5.1 and it looks like the custom fields import still has to be done manually directly into the database.
Did this make it into the release?

    more info:
On the accounts tab, click on import, choose salesforce.com (or custom comma delimited file). On the import mapping screen under the database field heading the drop down only lists the standard fields. It does not list the custom fields. I would like to know if it should list the custom fields or not. If it should I will figure it out what I am doing wrong.... Thanks.

I have been working with importing custom fields into 2.5.1 for the past several weeks with no issues.

Was this a fresh install of 2.5.1?

Yes. The file I used was SugarSuite-Full-2_5_1.zip
On the importing dropdown lists of fields the custom fields are just not listed.

I have several custom fields in the Account data. I created the custom fields in the GUI, I changed the edit, the view and listing screens of the Account. The data shows up there just fine -- I am able to enter a account and the fill the custom fields. I am able to view the account and the custom fields are there. When I click on the Account tab my custom list shows the custom fields. I am able to see the custom data in the database in the custom_fields table.

A quick glance at the code and I do see a reference to module_custom_fields_def in ImportStep3.php.
Anything else that I should look at??

    Thanks,
    Daniel
