Importing email headers and detail

Hello,

Converting data to Sugar - have been successful getting the accounts, contacts, leads, phone calls, and tasks imported and linked using the standard Sugar import and MySQL.

But I'm running into a problem with emails...

I'm able to extract the emails from the host database into a CSV format, but the message is in HTML format with tags and extra " marks. MySQL doesn't like that, so I'm not able to import at this time.

I can get the email headers imported OK, but not the message. I've tried utilities to strip out HTML tags, but they cause their own problems.

Appreciate any assistance on this one - I've searched thru this site for 2 days and my brain hurts...

Anyone out there have success importing email from other systems?

How about the Sugar team? Any tips for success?
