importing files doesn't reach end of job

I have tried to use the Import Accounts and Import Contacts from a salesforce.com file --- it seems to "hang" and not reach end of job and when I look at the actual account tab, it seems to have imported about 255....but then stopped.

How do I address this so thta it will import properly?

Hi,

I'm not familiar with salesforce, but I would try to convert the salesforece file into a csv file and see if the problem is still there.

If you import a lot of contacts (500+) with many fields per contact it could be that there is not enough memory allocated to applications like php and MySQL.

Maybe someone else can comment on this last point.
