Default Importing leads into a target lists

The manual states you are able to import leads into a target list but does not indicate how. Any assistance is appreciated.

    Thanks, Tahnee

    1. Create your target list within the Campaigns module.
    2. Click "Targets" and then "Import Targets."
    3. Import your data.

After the import completes, the import wizard will display a button that allows you to import the contacts to a target list.

Click that button and then select the Target List created in step 1 (or whichever target list you want).

Angel, Thank you for your response. I am getting snagged during the importing process. There are a handful of questions your must answer after selecting "Import"

    Question One:
    What is the data source?
    - Custom Comma Delimited File
    - Custom Tab Delimited File

    Question Two:
    Upload Export File
Many applications will allow you to export data into a Comma Delimited text file (.csv). Generally most applications follow these general steps:

Am I supposed to save the leads I would like to include in the Target list into a file and save to my computer? Thank you for your help.

    Kind Regards, Tahnee

I've imported 115 targets but can't find a way to tie them into a campaign. I've tried from the top down and the bottom up... I can't navigate from a target >> target list >> campaign; also can't go from campaign >> targeted list >> targets.

    What am I missing?

    Thanks in advance,

    Carl

Yes, the process assumes that the leads aren't already in Sugar. If they are, you could always export them, then import them again as a target.

I am not sure I understand what you mean by top down/bottom up or not being able to navigate.

The option to add them to a target list is available on the last page of the import wizard. That's the only place I know of where it exists.

How did you perform your import? Within the leads? or within Targets?

    I have a similar question.
I have 1800 Contacts and I want all of them to be targets in a postcard mailing campaign.
How can I select all 1800 contacts to put them into a target list?
