Importing trouble with field types that are datetime

Hi anybody,

I try to import a account but datetime field is imported not correctly. 9/9/2005 0:00:00 (orginal) -> imported value is 2001 - 01 -01. Please help!

One thing you can try is to set the format of the date field in your spreadsheet to 'yyyy-mm-dd'. You can do that by highlighting the column and go to Format --> Cells --> In the Category section, click on Custom and enter in 'yyyy-mm-dd' in the Type field. Then click Ok. You can leave the spreadsheet open when you perform the import so that you don't lose the formatng that you just did.

Hi,

One of our customers had a similar problem. Make sure the date formats in Sugar and Excel are identical, then it should work
