    Default Inbound email attachments creates a notes?!

    HI every one,

    All inbound email that have attachments creates a note with that attached file but when I delete this email the note and attachment still found at sugar. Is this a bug or what? How can I delete the inbound email and all attachemtns at one click?

    I have one more doubt... Did the file are deleted from server when I delete the note for database?

    Thanks

    Good question. Truly speaking whatever deletions you make in sugar, say you delete an Account, a note or something else, you would no more see that record but it is not deleted from the main database. Instead, it is just marked as "deleted" in the database. In sugarcm db, there is a "deleted" column in all such tables, so whenever you delete anything, the value of this column for that record will be set to one and thats it. The entry would still persist in db unless you run some sql to delete the entry manually from db. Just that you won't see it again when you have deleted it using sugar.

    I hope this has cleared your doubt.

    Every time we get an inbound email that has some sort of an image, say a .gif or .jpg or .pdf etc;
    SugarCRM creates out of those images a note automatically.

    So for instance if we get 100 inbound emails and each one has 2 .gif then we end up
    with 200 notes and 100 emails !!!

    How can we stop this behaviour?
    We would like to have only 100 emails each with it's own .gif ; we don't want notes to be created
    automatically.
    we are using 4.5.1a

    Is this a reported bug? is there a way to fix it?
