    Default Inbound email not working and email inbox is not filled,track inbound email

    Hello everyone,

    O/S:Windows 2000
    SugarCRM Community edition 5.0.0b(upgraded from 5.0.0a to 5.0,.0b)

    I have checked "Developer mode" in Admin>System settings to true.


    1) i can send emails from sugarcrm but can not recieve them.


    Previously on clicking the Check email button process was done and it seemed it was trying to get emails from inbox(though it never did) as it gave message at each step like"Checking account 1 folder" something like this and finally it gave "Bad gateway error".


    Then i changed the password for the email account in Admin>Inbound email settings because previous password was not valid,new password was valid and succeeded in testing.

    But now on clicking Check email button an hour glass mouse pinter is displayed fo 1 second like some process might be done bu then nothing happens at all.All the process and messages which were coming earlier are now not there.



    Now i changed password to old one.it is saved but gave error message "No optimums were saved with your Inbound Email account. Please review the settings"


    i have cheked "Developer mode" in Admin>System settings to true,does this affect this?
    now when i click check emails button in email module nothing happens.

    Now, even my mail id which was there under My Email folder in tree structure in Email module is not shown.

    2) I want to track emails



    When i send an email to any lead from a lead and this lead replies back then i should know which was this lead i.e. some kind of reference should be there for tracking like in case module.


    Please guide me.
    I am held up and cant move ahead,i am trying fo solution,please help.

    Hey i opened the settings page by clicking on the Settings button in Emails module main page.I clicked the MailAccouns tab ,in active mail account list on left i double cicked my maid id and it gave a message "creating folders" or replacing folders i dont' remember exactly.but now my mail id's folder is there on left hand side.
    Also on clicking on Check mail button now all previous processes are been carried out i.e. to check accounts and fetch emails from inbox.

    So it think this solves half of my problem.

    But no emails are been shown in the inbox list,only the Number of emails in inbox are shown on top.
    I am trying to solve this ,please help.

    Ok on top of the panel for Inbox there is viewalong with three views,i clicked fisrt of them ,now i can see the received emails in inbox list.
    So this is solved.

    But second problem is how to know that incoming mail is answer to particular lead (2nd part of my problem earlier i posted in this thread,i.e. first message)
    i.e. linking to a lead.
    Please guide.
