Inbound Email problems (Test settings) not working

I have a Server running Zimbra Collaboration Suite as my Email server. I can connect to the server using different mail clients to download mails using either pop3 or imap (or both over ssl). However when i try setup email using the Sugar Mail client, it basically hangs when i click Test settings and sometimes it brings out the message connection failed after like hours of waiting. I have read the forums and i even checkedd /etc/php.ini to make sure zlib-output compression is off and it is off. i am running php 5 as well and using Sugar 4.2b. i have attached my log for viewing hoping someone can help resolve the issue. thanks.

I have tried testing email with other mail servers and inbound email works perfectly. However, I still cant seem to get it to connect with imap or ssl (or even both enabled with ssl). I was wondering if anyone has the sugar mail client working with Zimbra if they have any advice or tips. Thanks.

I have tried inbound from Google Mail which uses SSL. I'm using sugar on demand so I have no control of the server. I cannot get the Gmail accounts to come in. Yahoo mail accounts were working in my trial version, but don't seem to be working on 4.5. Let me know if you have solved the SSL issues. Thanks.
