Default Inbound emails and database size

I am using SugarCRM CE 5.5.0 to retrieve messages from IMAP account.

Emails are deleted from server, so I think they are stored in my Sugar database. Since I am having problems to make bounce detection works, I seted up sugar to save raw source for inbound emails, so my question is:

Sugar will keep storing emails and more emails everyday, so should I wait some day my database will be so big that I will have problems to use it?

Database is stored in a unlimited space web server.

    Thanks for your comments!

    Hi there

If your having problems then it is unlikely to be the database, but in answer to your question, you really shouldn't have problems with this, we run a mysql database with over a million records in the email tables.

We do not envisage this to be a problem, think about it your only retrieving mail on demand, and not at all the same time. The only way a database is going to give you problems is if the tables are not indexed, and believe me sugarcrm have gone overboard with the indexing.

Don't worry about your database, i'd rather have mine full than no data at all.

Hope this helps, any further questions just shout

    Regards

    John
