    Default Inbound emails are not creating bugs

    Hi All,

    I am using SugarCRM opensource Version 5.0.0f (Build 3338).

    In admin module email I set up two accounts where the action is "Create Bug" , test account runs fine.
    Addditionally i went to the scheduler and added a task for function:: pollMonitoredInboxes . This is also run fine.

    However even though the tast runs successfully no items are created in bugs section.

    Where can I debug what happens and why do not get the recodrds created ?

    create bug functinality in email module is not implemented. Infact in 5.1 we have taken out options like Create Bug, Create task and so on. We have implemented Create Case functionality in 5.1.

    I tried w/ create case first but that didnt seem to work either. Should that work ?

    Hi. Why did you remove the feature create bug? Should I create a workflow or something?

    In 5.0 there is no automated creation of anything. In 5.1 cases can be created through incoming emails automatically. The why Samir may answer.

    Can someone please explain to me how I can create a bug/lead form an inbound email?

    If you want this to happen automatically then its doesn't work unless you write logic hooks or workflow to do this. You can create this manually by going into group foleder, select email and in the detail view there is a quick create menu. Click on that and you will see options of creating Cases/Bug/Lead/Contact.Task.
