O/S:Windows 2000
SugarCRM Community edition 5.0.0b(upgraded from 5.0.0a to 5.0,.0b)


1) i can send emails from sugarcrm but can not recieve them.
previously it was giving Bad gateway error.

then i changed the password for the email account in Admin>Inbound email settings because previous password was not valid,new password was valid and succeeded in testing.

now i changed password to old one.it is saved but gave error message "No optimums were saved with your Inbound Email account. Please review the settings"

i have cheked "Developer mode" in Admin>System settings,does this affect this?

now when i click check emails button in email module nothing happens.

2) I want to track emails


I have one custom module HousingProvider.
Leads and Hosing provider are related i.e. each Housing Provider can be related to many leads and vice-versa.

now i am trying for this:

When i send an email to any lead from a lead and this lead replies back then i should know which was this lead i.e. some kind of reference should be there for tracking like in case module.

Any idea's,suggestions.
Please guide.
