Default Inbound Mail Box POP3 issue

Using SugarCRM 4.5.0, I set up a POP3 mail account and set the "Import only since last check" to Yes and saved. after a few minutes, my inbox started filling up with duplicates so I checked the setting again and it had reverted to No. After inactivating the mailbox and deleting the mail, I set it again and the same thing happened.

Also, because it is checked in other places, the email is set to be left on the server.

It looks like a bug. Has anyone else experienced this?

Default Re: Inbound Mail Box POP3 issue

There is a note associated with the mail page that says it cannot sort out what it has and has not downloaded. So it has the box to limit checking the mail that has come in since the last time it checked. Unless you use IMAP, which I understand from other posts may have bugs in 4.5.

My suggestion is to set up a dummy Gmail or Yahoo mail account to test your processes with so you have a controlled development environment.

I have no trouble getting yahoo mail, but gmail doesn't seem to work. Perhaps since it's using different port settings and SSL..........

Let me know if you make progress. Our busienss is dependent on getting email from multiple sources coordinated and converted to tasks and things aren't going quickly, since the inbound mail issues themselves aren't lending themselves to easy solutions.
