    Red face InboundEmail group IMAP SSL Problem

    Hi all, I'm running 4.2 on linux with apahce2, php 5.0.4 and mysql 4.1

    We have an imap server that supports SSL, and Sugar handles it fiund for personal e-mail accounts. Works just great. But when I configure a group account, it won't save the setting. I can check the SSL box and if I click Test Settings it connects fine, but when I click save I get this message:

    No Optimums were saved with your InboundEmail mailbox. Please review the settings

    I have no idea what that means, and I took a brief glance at the code and seems to be a pretty generic message (duh). Anybody else have this problem? The Group inbox is working fine without SSL but it would be nice to take advantage of encryption there too. Thanks,

    That's very interesting that it work for personal accounts, but not for Group. Both go through very similar code-paths.

    Could you verify that the problem is in the Group side by taking a known-good account and using its credentials for a Group Account? At least this way we can get user-error out of the picture.

    I set up my personal account ( which works fine with SSL) as a group account and I recieve the same error when saving with the "Use SSL" box checked.

    Anything else that you need? I am also experiencing some quirks with the schduler. It doesn't appear to check messages for any accounts.

    Is there a problem with mysql 4.1?

    Would you provide some details about your setup?

    Are you using IMAP-SSL? or POP3-SSL?
    What is the mail server (Courier, Exchange, Gmail, etc.)?
    Is the mail server on the same machine as the Sugar instance?

    My testing here has Group Inboxes working as expected with SSL, but I can only test POP3-SSL with Gmail and IMAP-SSL with Courier-IMAP.

    It is a private mail server that I maintain on a different machine. It uses cyrus imap with SSL.

    My personal e-mail account is on that server and sugar connects to it via ssl and it works perfectly.

    On the group account setup screen, I checked the "Use SSL" box, and it tests fine when I click "test settings." If I leave that SSL box checked and click save, it says: "No Optimums were saved with your InboundEmail mailbox. Please review the settings," and does not save the SSL setting.

    I'm having no luck reproducing this issue.

    I have a hand-crafted Courier-IMAP/SSL install at a colo I use for my personal www needs. Both Group and Pesonal Inboxes work as expected for me.

    Any chance you could setup a test account for me on your box? PM me with details if you can.

    I am having the same issue , however I am not using ssl.

    If I'm not making myself crystal clear, here it is:
    I do not have access to a Cyrus IMAP server.

    If you would like this problem resolved, please create a test account (termporarily) so that I can fix the issue for you all.
