Default InboundEmail not working under 5.2.0h CE?

I've recently upgraded from 5.2.0f CE to 5.2.0h CE, and now InboundEmail is not working.
    I'm running it under ubuntu server 8.04 with apache2, php5, mysql 5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.4.
crontab is set up (as it was for the previous version) and seems to be working.

Any other scheduler that i activate seems to run fine. The InboundEmail task only seems to run once, when i create a new scheduler for it. After that it doesn't work at all, while the other schedulers run fine. Not until i delete the InboudEmail scheduler, and re-create it will it run again.

Last night after some hacking it ran as it was supposed to (every 5 minutes) for about an hour, then it ran once 4 hours later, then again this morning, then it stopped altogether. Since then I've tried everything I can think of, and combed through a huge number of forum posts with no luck.

I've got the entire sugar directory (recursively) chowned to www-data. Is that wrong?

I think I noticed before upgrading that something in the IncomingEmail directory was owned by root.

Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks

I've noticed in cron.php there is a mechanism to prevent DDOS attack against the script.
    if($timestamp[0] < strtotime(date('H:i'))) {

Could this be the problem? It might explain why the scheduler runs successfully once after its first created, but not again after that.
I currently have the scheduler set to run every5 minutes. The cron job runs once a minute.

Thumbs up Re: InboundEmail not working under 5.2.0h CE?

Here is a more accurate description of my problem. I've left the non-working inbound email scheduler to run overnight. THe scheduler is set to run every 5 minutes. THe cron.php script is run every minute. When the inbound email function does run successfully, it downloads the email (via pop3), and creates a log entry in the execution history on the schedulers page.
Looking at the execution history log I see the following completed executions listed:
12:47p - this is when i created the scheduler
    4:50p
8:55p - between 8:55p and 11:59p it runs once per minute (note its set to run every 5 minutes)
    8:56p
    8:57p
    8:58p
    ...
    11:59p
    4:00a
    8:05a
    I de-activated the scheduler around 10:00a

I then re-created the scheduler and left it active for another day:

    3:04p - this is when i re-created the scheduler
    7:05p
    11:10p
    11:11p
    11:12p
... - runs once per minute between 11:10p and 11:59p
    11:59p
    4:00a
    8:05a
I de-activated and deleted the scheduler around 9:30a

The common times are 11:59p, 8:05a, and 4:00a

My conclusion is that sugar crm blows, and I'm going to cough up the dough for sales force on monday.

    Thanks for all the help
