Default Include email_addresses.id in custom email template

    Hello,

I am using Sugar 5.5.1community on a WAMP install with Apache/2.2.4 (Win32) PHP/5.2.3. I have pretty much no experience in Sugar's code.

I have a campaign and target list set-up and would like to create an email template that automatically inserts email_addresses.id for the email address the message is being sent to. I'd like to do this in an upgrade safe manner but, honestly, I'm on time constraints and a hack would do for now; I can look into the right way later.

My first question would be, can I create a custom Insert Variable that is simply added to the list of variables available in the Email Template creation? If not, please offer suggestions or experience on how to accomplish this.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

    Chris
