    Default Incoming email assignment problems

I have noticed that when an incoming email arrives that is addressed to both me (user1) and my partner (user2) that the emails are assigned to a single user in the POP3/IMAP imports. The result is that emails we both need to see are presented to just one of us! For example, my attorney sends a note directed to both of us. The message is imported and assigned to user2, then imported for user1 (not assigned because the ID already exists). So when I check my mail (for user1) the message from the attorney does not appear and I do not know I need to take action on the message. Meanwhile my partner sees that I am CC'd and expects that I will take action .... but obviously I don't see the message and then don't take action.

Is there anyway to avoid this scenario? Any configuration changes I need to make?

There should be 2 distinct messages in the system if you are a cc recipient. This is a bug in the current email of SugarCRM. The email system is being completely overhauled in version 5. This is quite a few months off yet.
