Incoming Email cron job

Hi,

I installed the latest verison today but am struggling with the incoming email queue. Right now I can run cron.php with no errors but mail is not processed. I have PHP v4.3 and oddlly my sugarcrm.log has this line in it repeated "Mon Jun 26 22:22:14 2006,827 [20660] FATAL SugarCRM - If you see a whole string of these, there is a chance someone is attacking your system."

My apache logs look clean and hitting http://hostname/sugar/cron.php returns a 200

I had it working once but now I am stuck, the cron task runs as root and I also don't get any emails to root.

I am new to PHP and Sugar CRM and confused.

Nobody has ever seen this problem?
