images of incoming email with embedded images are stripped.

When i look at the email in html format and say show images i get that littler squere but not the image.
If i click on show immage location it shows "http://**********/rocket/cache/email/63/9e/639e2522fd0794fdcce582fec6f890f3"
but the folders only go to "http://**********/rocket/cache/email/63/

Running ubuntu server with xampp.
