    Default ini_restore problem

My hosting provider, like many others, has in_restore disabled for security reasons,

Consequently I cannot import contacts since ImportFile.php includes ini_restore on line 153.

Is there a workaround for this, or can someone suggest an edit for the file? The host is unlikely to change their settings.

Will I run across this problem on other functions as well?

    All the best.

If the host is unwilling to change are you willing to change host? This seems are restrictive setting ... while there may be plenty of hosts doing it ... the vast majority are not ... consider moving to a less constrained environment or asking your hosting company for a custom php.ini

I will have to look for another solution then as I am contracted for another 12 months to this host and cannot get anywhere near their price for the amount of data storage.

    Hallo,
is this setting still neccessary in Version 6.2?

I received a warning while importing a file but my import did in fact work.
Could someone give me an advice if it is possible to deactivate this function or is it really neccesary?

The Files where I found it are:
    App.php
    Base.php
    ImportFile.php
    ServiceException.php
    YouTube.php

    Kind regards,
    Paul
