2nd time trying to instal (on a different server now) - i get this error when "Creating Sugar application tables, audit tables, and relationship metadata"
straight after
... schedulers_times... dropping / creating / relationship meta ... done
inbound_email... dropping / creating / relationship meta ... done

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: group in /home/anthony/public_html/crm/install/performSetup.php on line 529


This doesnt surprise me.
Im installing in cpanel environment. Uploaded zip file & unzipped on the server, & moved files to the root of a subdomain. Touble is, not all the files were present!!! They didnt unzip properly ?? - this happened last time too - ... oh, well, crank up dreamweaver & get it to synchronise my local extraction to the server files. A decade later I run the install. Theres problems.. i upload a file that didnt get uploaded 'properly'... install appears to be working! ... but wait, now this problem.

Havent the foggiest idea what it means. Theres no prompt about correcting something, or failure ... just the fatal error message. Wondering wtf is going on.

Id think possibly a problem with the uploading of files, but how do I do it without tying up my machine for a few hours?

But the reply to himself is in encrypted & truncated Geek-ese - makes no sense to humans.

I really want this to work, but I have wasted soooo much time farting around. At least some kind of english interpretation of whats going wrong with the install would be really helpful.
