Default Install step2-Writable Modules Sub-Directories and Files

    Hello,

During the install I got an error Writable Modules Sub-Directories and Files unwriteable. I checked all folders and files and I am unable to resolve this. I did however resolve the other unwriteable massages. I am using LAMP on a hosted server. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

    Thanks
    bob

You need to make sure that your folder is writeable. Try 777 on the docroot for install purposes.

    Hi rosgarma and bobd,

Have you tried the reccursive writable permissions on the folders?

If you run through any problem, I can do the installation for you.

    Regards,

    Hi,

I was having the same issue. I found out that to change the permissions you use chmod -R 777 . It will go through all directories. You can also look at the help for the command.

-R, --recursive change files and directories recursively

I actuall wanted to know, should we set the permissions to read, write and execute?

    Hope that helps.

    Brian

Same problem. I done it recursively but with no effects. Others work fine.
