Installation Failed for SugarOS-for-Microsoft-Full-4.5.1e.zip

HI,
I've downloaded SugarOS-for-Microsoft-Full-4.5.1e.zip meant to be configured with MS SQL 2005
And I've downloaded PHP v5.2.3 and installed, that got integrated with IIS 5.0
Now I've created a virtual directory in my IIS named "SugarCRM" which points to the unzipped contents folder.
And I've updated/configured all the pre-requisites for the "SugarCRM" (i.e. php.ini constant values , <windir>/System32/ ntwdblib.dll (v2000.80.194.0) registration, enable Named pipe and TCPIP connections in MS SQL 2K5)
Now I accessed http://localhost/SugarCRM/ and started configuring the application with web installer
But I got stuck at step 2 on the web installer.
It shows that the SQL Server Database is Not Available
and the next button is disabled

The following two errors on the step 2 page are
1. SQL Server Database Not Available
2. MB Strings Module Not found: SugarCRM will not be able to process multi-byte characters. This will impact receiving emails in character sets other than UTF-8

Would you please confirm you've followed the steps outlined in the "Replace version of ntwdblib" and "Required PHP Configuration" sections on this page?

For the MBStrings issue please ensure you've uncommented (or added) the php_mbstring extension in your php.ini file.
