Installation issues

Every file in the module folder has to be writable? If not every which ones.
Also, how can the path for the "writable session save path be changed, where is this?
I cant get past the begining of the install

what i did is:
download Ipswitch WS_FTP Professional, use trial version. connect to my site, right click that folder, ex: modules, assign 777, and it works.

what if it is 777, so u need assign 775 or anything...apply. after that u re-apply 777. make sure u check this folder and folder inside.

i try several times. be patient.
