Installation probs

Hi All,

My Config:
OS: RHEL AS 3
MySQL server: 5.0.22 standard
SugarSuite v4.2.1.a
Apache Webserver

The MySQL server is on the localhost itself. I am getting the following error:

* SugarCRM database user name and/or password is invalid (Error 1251: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client).
* Database admin user name and/or password is invalid (Error 1251: Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client).

I am using the default values and also providing admin username as 'root ' and the password. I am able to connect to mysql thru 'mysql -u root -p' and providing the same password. But this does not seem to work in the sugar installation. Plz help!!!

PS: I have done my best to go thru previous posts.. similar probs have been reported but the thread seem to die somewhere without solving this.
