Installation Troubles - Writable Files

I am currently trying to install sugar crm on my unix based web host. I start the install and it comes up to check that all the files are writable and what not, It tells me that the modules subdirectories and files are not writable and I checked three times that all the files were writable, and it still comes up not writable.

If there is a link to a previous post that answers this, as I cannot find one, could someone please post a link to it or give me a tip as to how to ensure that the install is working.

I can help you out most likely. First read through this and make sure it's all set right. Then if you need more help post a ls -l (thats 'LS -L') of your root sugar directory (the one that shows your modules directory) and we'll figure it out.
