Default integer custom field edit form validation fails with a comma

I added a custom field to opertounties. It is an integer field for us to enter job hours.

i added it to the opertounity screens and everything works fine on the inital entry of a new opertounity.

On edit of the opertounity if the number enterd is over 999 it displays in the edit box with a comma (like 1,000) and on saving the form gets a form vaildation error "Hours value 1,000 is not within the valid range 0-50000"

I dont need or want it to format the nuber with the comma, so what would be the esiest way to make this custom field work for values over 999?

I am using Version 4.5.1e (Build 1049) and I am running it on windows. This is a fresh install from the "full stack" download with the demo database.

    Thanks much for your help.

    Hi Dennis,

If you don't want a comma for thousands, you can change the separator of thousands in "My Account" -> "Local parameters".

I did try turning off the separator, and it does make the form function correctly. I just thought it was odd that the validation doesnt seem to account for the comma in the custom integer field. It works fine for the built in amount field, it can tell its a number and it saves fine,

What i really wanted to hear is that im not doing something basic wrong, and that this sounds like its a bug that i should submit it to the bugs forum. Since i am new to Sugar I wanted to make sure I wasnt doing something silly, like that I need to change the vailadation somewhere in the admin studio or something.
