    Default Invalid File Reference

    Hello,

    I have a Problem in SugarCRM 6.0.2 (Build 4217). I'm using PHP 5.2.14, Apache 2.2.14 and MySQL 5.1.30.

First I have a lead with a PDF as attachment and everything works fine. I can open the attachment and download the file. I can find the document id in the “cache/upload” directory.

Now if I convert this lead to an account and contact at first it seems to be all ok. But if I open the attachment now from the company or the contact I'm getting the error "Invalid File Reference".
I have checked cache/upload dir for the new document id and the file does not exist. I can't find the ID file in any folder on the Linux system. The document ID from the lead before is still present and does work. Can someone help me?

    Thanks and greets

There seems to be a bug in Sugar ... With my 6.0.1 installation I get the same error. The attached file is not copied when converting the lead.

I have tried the following with success: I copied the file cache/upload/<lead-note-id> into cache/upload/<account-note-id> and cache/upload/<contact-note-id> (account-note-id and contact-note-id are the ids of the new created notes attached to the new created account / contact). After that it was no problem to use the attached file with the account and contact.

To get the needed ids for use as filenames just look at the url when the note attached to the account / contact is open. If the url e.g. contains 'index.php?module=Notes&action=DetailView&record=8 06b1795-582a-fa1d-93c5-4ce25855d410&' the id is '806b1795-582a-fa1d-93c5-4ce25855d410' in that case.

First thank you for the reply! I've tried the manual copy and rename methode you decribe and it works! But now I need a permanent solution for this problem. I would not like to do this step everytime a salesman converts a lead

Do anyone have a permanent solution for this problem?

    thanks

I have a similar configuration to the above -- with the same result. I have tested 6.1.0 RC3 also with the same result.

This appears to be an oversight in the system. A new ID is created, the attachment name, type, etc, is created. Everything looks perfect. Except for the fact that the system does not create the /cache/upload file that is required.

    PLEASE someone fix this!
