Hi ,

Sugar CRM is IP based , I havea question

Suppose the CRM is installed in Server machine which has a dynamic IP address , if the server has been sht down and restarted well the user be able to access the software after the server is up and start working againOr the system adminstrator will have to reconfigure the new IP in sugar CRM.

any Idea?

DHCP allows the creation of Static IP address. you just assign an ip address to a mac address. This will create the same IP every time through DHCP.

SugarCRM does not require a static IP. But rather a reliable way to find the server using DNS or by the IP address. There are ways to do this with dynamic dns. Just google for "dinamic dns" for more information on services available.
