ireport - suppress null

I have just stared using ireport to create jasper templates for zucker

If a field is null it shows as null on the report - is it possible to suppress this?

Yes, select the field and check "Blank when null" property.

When i combine two fields... if one field is null and the other has some data... the field is displayed as "null data"
Something like below... how to solve this...
