Issue between PHP and Outlook 07 - Inbound Email Setup

We've tried setting up the Inbound Email feature in our enviroment but for some reason, php and Outloook 07 don't integrate. We ultimately would like for a case to be automatically created when an email is sent to a support distribution list we've already setup. If we use an email service other than Outlook 07 (Outlook 03,gmail, etc) this proces works flawlessly. We're running LAMP with an older version of PHP so I'm thinking this might be the cause?

I am not sure I understand the interaction with Outlook in this example.

Are you saying that were you to send an e-mail from Outlook (non-07), Sugar retrieves it as expected and creates the case, but when you send the e-mail using Outlook 07, a problem occurs?

Can you also elaborate on the problem itself, i.e. errors, etc.
