    Default Issues with empty Dashlets

    Hi
    I'm evaluating sugarCRM using the community edition.
    I customized Modules for our purpose and populated the Database with existing data (from .xls, twiki).

    I'm getting ready to present the results to my colleagues but there is a problem:
    The Dashlets on the "Home" and "Dashboards" are all empty.
    I would at lest expect to see "My Accounts" to have data because I see 62 accounts in "Sales->Accounts".
    I'm also hoping to impress with a working "Pipeline By Sales Stage" view.

    Please help.

    The reason they are empty is likely due to the import.

    How did you import the data? Using Sugar itself or some other method?

    If sugar did you import as the admin user and now trying to show the data using some user like John. If so them it won't show up because Sugar home page dashlets show the "users" data not whatever happens to be in the DB.

    You will notice in the contacts and accounts there is an 'assign to':' field. (also in the calls, meetings etc...)
    This assigned to is the user who the data will show up for on their homepage.

    Use your mysql tool (phpmyadmin, Navicat or whatever) and see who is assigned in the DB. Once that is done you can use the user table ID to assign a few to the user you want to display.

    Hi Automator,

    As Paris said, the dashlets default to display each user;s records, ie: the records assigned to them. You can easily click on the pencil icon to edit the filters for the information on the dashlet.
