Just a few glitches & questions

Hey all,
Thanks to everyone in the forum so far with their support in solving past problems.

Right now I am just dealing with a couple usability problems.
First I have email set up for all the employees within sugar. I have it to check inbound as often as possible, but the only way that new messages seem to show up in the inbox is if someone clicks 'check for new messages' Is there a way to just have the new messages automatically dump into the inbox every time it checks the server for inbound messages?

Second, I would like to check the Alerts template. Where can I find those?

Third. All of the employees are getting invite emails with no problem, but no Reminder emails are being sent. Also is there a way to do Reminder SMS?

I'm checking to see if something like this functionality is coming in release 5.0.

Also, what exactly were you envisioning with an "alert"? Something like a Scheduled Event pop-up or like Workflow alert templates?

I guess I am phrasing an alert as a reminder.
When you create an activity, it asks for a reminder time. I am not receiving any reminders (alerts). It would be great if it could send SMS reminders.

Hi there. The anwer from our development staff was that they are trying to include an alert system in the next major release. They are doing a fairly major paradigm shift for how the email mechanism works, so they're going to focus on the core functionality first and then everything else second.

Finally, I'll quote from his email to me:

"I took a quick look at the thread, it seems some folks are asking whether *personal* accounts will also auto-pull all emails like the Group Inbox counterparts. As-designed, no. Just imagine 100+ personal accounts pulling down junk mail every 5 minutes. Bad."

Do you have any suggestions on why my reminders arent working at all. Are there things I should double check? I am pretty sure I have everything set up correctly.
