Default lead/contact list views not showing anything

    Hi there

I've just installed SugarCRM and have been mostly testing the campaigns section which seems to be working fine.

So, having decided that Sugar is the package for us, I've just started to manually add a few contacts and leads. But I've hit a problem ..... Nothing shows in the list views, not for Contacts nor Leads. They're definately there as I've checked in the MySQL database; they just don't seem to be loading into Sugar.

Strange thing is that targets inserted manually a few days ago, when testing the compaigns, do display as expected in the targets list view.

Please can anyone point me in the right direction? Am I missing something obvious?

    Many thanks

    Maggie

I've now added a second SugarCRM install as I thought maybe something was wrong with the installation of the first. But nothing is different - the list views are still not viewable. They can be accessed individually (and edited) using the latest actions tabs at the top but still nothing is showing in the list view. All the pre-installation requirements were met. Can anyone help? Is this a bug?

    Thanks
    Maggie

Can nobody help me with this? Could it be related to permissions? At the moment, all files are set to 755 - is this correct, or should any files have different permissions to make the list view work.
    Hopefully,
    Maggie

    Two possible solutions:
    1. Check the 'delete' field in leads and contacts table, it should not be 1.
    2. Open the leads/contacts list view page click 'clear' from the Search subpanel.

    Hi Sanjay

    Thanks for your advice.

    1. I've check the database tables (is that what you meant?); the delete field for both is set to 0.

    2. The clear button in the Search sub-panel doesn't make any difference (in all three search states).

    PLEASE, any other ideas?

    Check this also:
    Login as admin,
Admin->System Settings : Listview items per page:should be not set 0.

Listview items is set to 20. I've played with this already but still nothing displays in Contacts or Leads.

Strangely though, it does list Campaigns, Targets, Target Lists, Email Templates - in fact everything in the Campaign module (which is what I tested for a couple of days before anything else) seems to work fine.

Even more strangely, we have an installation of Sugar (also version 4.5.1a) working locally which has a similar problem but with different modules. This installation (with the example data) does list Leads, Contacts, Opportunities. It also displays Target Lists (created from imported CSV files) but it doesn't list Targets input one at a time directly into Sugar) - how wierd it that?

I simply can't understand how different installations of the same version can behave differently That's why I wondered if it could be something to do with permissions?
