Lead detail view button control locations

Good morning peeps

I'm having a really frustrating problem. In my attempts to add a button to the lead detail view, I find that it will not show. I have written my code to the lead/metadata/detailviewdefs and just in case it was my code I commented out the edit button code. Guess what nothing happened. This file (in other modules) does the trick as far as adding buttons but not in leads on 5.0.0CE for some reason. Please could someone point me to the file that controls the buttons in lead detail view.

Hi John

You need to edit the custom/modules/Leads/metadata/editviewdefs.php
In this file there is the attribute buttons containing 6 elements (3 scalars and 3 arrays) You can copy the last one (Convert Lead) and modify the enough to configure your own button.

Is this fix the same for 5.2f CE? For some reason our edit links on imports and the edit button have dissapeared! Any help would be super!
This is in our Leads area... oddly, the user roles group allows our users to edit but not admin
