    Default Lead Export

    Sugar Version 6.1.3 (Build 5640)
    Sugar Community
    Category (Custom Field)
    Operating System (Debian 6)
    PHP (5.3.3)
    Apache (2.2.16)

When I attempt to export leads (leads > actions > export) I get the following message: "Database failure. Please refer to sugarcrm.log for details."
The log states the following: "Undefined variable: join in /var/www/sugarcrm/include/utils.php on line 4071"

Unfortunately, I'm not that proficient with php, would someone mind lending a hand?
    Thank you.

I purchased "SugarCRM for Dummies" and will see if it has anything that may help me, but I'm not sure that a "for dummies" book will dig into source code issues.
What has me confused is the export feature worked fine the first time I used it. I wanted to see what it would output and it generated a CSV file with no issues. But now that I have a need for it, export doesn't work. I've talked with the guys at the office, and the sugar environment hasn't been touched (obviously it was gremlins). I've searched the forum and I wasn't able to find a case of anyone having a similar issue.

If you need more information, please feel free to ask, I can get access to anything you might need, except for coffee.

    Unhappy Re: Lead Export

Sugar for Dummies didn't have anything more than how to export, there wasn't any troubleshooting. I see posts for IMPORT issues, but nothing for exporting. Is there a resource that someone can point me to?

Does the same thing happen if you attempt to export data from other modules?

Can you post the referenced line from the file referenced by the log file?

I checked, and it exports just fine from accounts, contacts and opportunities.

I'll get that line as soon as our tech expert gets back from lunch.

Have you customized the Leads module in some way? Try executing a Repair on the system to see if that corrects it.

    Oh wow.
Thank you very much! That was indeed the case. Some one (uh, me...) had tried to create a custom field and when he failed and it didn't hold text after saving the lead, he simply left it there, hoping to someday get back to it and fix it. I went in, deleted the custom field and now export works flawlessly.

    Thank you!
