Default Lead form - slipped on final step.

    Hey board,

I created a lead form had two occurances I ask for advice on:

    01. Made my form, and got the URL for it (similiar to the below) and made a link on my website to it.
However, when I clicked "submit" on a test, it says "error on page" at the bottom left of the IE window
and no lead appeared in Sugar.

    Question: what did I overlook?

    02. I also tried copying and pasting the HTML code Sugar made into my website's HTML editor. It looked okay except that the drop down menus in the fields did not translate over...the text in the field was there in one big lump.
Question: did I miss a step here?

Yes, I took the RFM route before posting here (pages 112-113 in the user's guide) however there was no insight to my problems there. Please give some advice if you can. Thanks!

Actually, one more question. Is there a way to "mask" the web-to-lead form URL noted in .01 above? e.g. I don't want people to backspace to http://intranet.xxxxxxxxl.com/xxxxcrm
and try to get cute with our SurgarCRM's login screen. Ha.

I have not used the lead form, but I have used SOAP to enter leads, they work well. If you understand PHP and SOAP give it a try. You can customise the HTML to a very very good extent using SOAP.

SOAP? Assuming you don't refer to "a bar of..." may I ask what it is and how you used it?

EDIT: okay, found info in the forums. I'm not a coder so as neat as it sounds it's not for me.
If anyone out there with Web Lead Form experience has some advice, please assist.

DigiCRM, thanks for taking the time to respond!
