Lead Notifications and Autoreplys

As a new Sugar user, transferring data from Salesforce.com, I find it odd that Lead Notifications and Autoreplys don't seem to exist. At Salesforce, these notifications were part of the basic package - not workflow. Can anyone help with some code to have the assigned user notified of a new lead from a web post, and code to send an autoreply to the new lead? Thanks for your help....

Hi insyncnet, you can have the system notify you of record assignments, including lead assignments. Whenever a lead's assigned-to value is changed, the new user is alerted via an email. This is basic to the system.

To set this up, just go into Admin and set the "notifications" flag (sorry, forget the label but it's in the overall systems settings area). Make sure the system email settings are set so the notification can occur via email.

Thanks for your reply Andy. The function you refer to is working. What I"m trying to achieve is....I'm submitting the assigned_user id from the web form, also with a status of 'New', so the lead shows up on the users Home page as a new lead. In this scenario, Sugar records the lead, but no email is sent - unless the admin edits the lead and reassigns.....

Is there something I can ad to the save function to send an email to the assigned user whenever a new lead is recieved? I come from a coldfusion background, so a lot of this app is greek to me......

I have a similar question, is there a way for sugar to send e-mial notification of when a user is assigned a new task?

I also am trying to do the same thing.

I have a webform that is populating leads in Sugar. I need to email the employee that a new lead came in for them and also I would like to send an email confirmation to the person who filled out the webform.

If you got a working response please forward it on.
