lead source description

In Marketing -> Leads, I would like to modify the advanced search page to either allow searching on leads.lead_source_description or I would like to add a new column called lead_source_code and allow searching on that.

When we do trade shows I spend time importing leads and some of our users would like to be able to search those leads based on the trade show or source of those leads. When I do the import I set leads.lead_source = 'Tradeshow' and I set leads.lead_source_description to something more descriptive.

Any pointers? Do I need to change the code?

you should create a campaign of type other and named whatever the trade show is named.

then when creating leads, associate each lead with the appropriate campaign/trade shiow.

then you can modify the search panel to include campaign and search on that

I've created the campaign.

I'm now in Marketing -> Leads -> Advanced Search. I see where I can select 'Campaign' as a lead source but I do not see where I can put in a description of the campaign. When I look at hidden fields it is not there either. Do I need to go somewhere and modify the code?
