Thread: Leads: can not change "assign to:" field

    Default Leads: can not change "assign to:" field

    Logged in as ADMIN, using Sugar 4.5.1e, staged locally and on a Windows server (acts the same on either)

    Create a LEAD
    set "TEAM" (a mandatory field) to the "SUPPORT TEAM" - which made up of 2 users "custsvc1" & "custsvc2"
    but leave the "Assigned to:" blank for now

    SAVE this Lead,

    now EDIT the lead, change the "Assigned to:" field - select one of the 2 users "custsvc1" or "custsvc2"
    SAVE the changed Lead

    No errors are displayed, but the "Assigned to:" field does not reflect the change.

    ???????????????

    Thakns for any help on this subject...

    Hello akedia,

    When you say "leave the Assigned To field blank," do you mean leave it as the default? By default, your own username should appear in that field.

    You may also get a better response by posting this in the Help forum. I can move the thread if you'd like.

    Yes, please move this to a more appropriate forum/section

    When I just create a plain ol' LEAD, the only items that seems required are Team & Last name -
    this seems to leave all other fields blank..... someone correct me about this if not true.

    I'll correct myself.... when creating a new lead it does place my login name as the TEAM & Assigned to: fields
    I've made it blank in the past.

    In either case, blank or filled in, if I try to EDIT and change those fields, they do not stick...

    Hello akedia,

    I've moved your thread to the Community Edition::Help forums-- you should get a better response here.

    Are you using IE or Firefox? Do you notice any JavaScript errors that appear? (there'd probably be a warning icon of some sort in the corner of the browser)

    If you're using IE, I'd consider trying with Firefox so you can paste the exact error message to us. It generally has better JavaScript error reporting.

    Also, are you trying to choose a User by clicking the 'Select' button, or just typing the username directly into the Assigned To field?
