Leads Subpanel in Accounts

Hi

I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation for the presence of the Leads subpanel in Accounts, but I can't figure it out, or find an explanation in the forum.

Furthermore the user is even more confused because of the presence of the static Account Name field present in the Leads details.

Any one ?

Do u mean that, it should have relate field in leads for account name ??

Regarding the subpanels , you can get rid of them if you want.... doing some small changes

The Leads SubPanel is there to let users, especially sales people, know where the business contact came from ... it joins the dots from the creation of a lead through a webform or as a lean from a conference or somesuch ... through to all the business reporting dashboards that tells you where your business comes from.

If you don't want to use Leads, turn them off in Admin and you won't see the Leads SubPanel in Contacts
