Limit access to accounts and contacts based on State

Hi,

I have sugar community edition Version 5.0.0b (Build 3150).

It is running with no problems, but i am in the need of something which i haven't found yet in the admin area.

I have users A,B,C,D and a lot of accounts and contacts, and what i am looking for is a way to limit my users so user A can only see accounts in Florida and user B can see accounts in California and Iowa, and so on.

Is there any built in way to achieve this?

Or any existing module which can be use for that?

This project adds Teams to the non-commercial versions of SugarCRM Open Source, making it more useful for larger organizations with hierarchical sales structures that must control access to Accounts, Contacts, ...

Hi,

If you only have one salesperson in each State you can use the reports to function in users to build up your hierarchy, otherwise use the Team Open Source project

The Team Open Source looks nice, but will this run on Sugar 5?

The Teams module wrote for SugarCRM 4.5.x does not work on SugarCRM 5.0.
There are some ideas for developing it for 5.0 but nothing viable yet.

There are two Teams modules for SugarCRM 5.x, the CE Teams and the Security Suite, both work with the GNU General Public License version 3.

I have learned that I need to use CE Teams and that I should use module loader to install this. I have downloaded the zip file to my desktop.

Now here is a really silly question ... which file from the zip file do I choose to load?

There's nothing in the readme file about this.

just select the zip file in module loader
