limit number of retries on login screen

Hi there,

It seems sub-optimal (to say the least) that the Sugar Login Screen does not lock after a few unsuccessful login attempts. Isn't this crucial?

Does anyone know how this can be most simply and perhaps update-safely set up?

I'm sure this is possible - but I don't think there is a setting in SugarCRM for it.

To do this Sugar provides a programming hook called "login_failed", you'll need some code to track tries and the lock the user name if they try more than X times. However, I take it from the "Sugar non developer" part that's not something you want / can do .

Maybe someone has a plugin that does this... have you checked sugar forge?
