Limit of Scheduled Calls

Hello,

I'm working with Sugar 4.5.1g in a Fedora Local server. My problem starts when I schedule a call , the system delays the schedule within 15 seconds or more. I have 1000 calls assigned to my user , some are planned and some are done. I've realized that users with few calls system goes quick : 1-2 seconds. I've read that the problem is with the vcal function that delays the system because there are too many calls scheduled.

There is any way to improve my schedule time without disabling the calendar?

First of all, thanks for your quick aswer. I've read the article but I have a doubt: if your turn off this var call $update_vcal the calendar is still working or not?
