    Default limit user access

I am trying to create an account for an employee. I want them to be able to have read access to the contacts they create. I don't want them to be able to delete anything, not even the contacts they create.

what is the best way to do this?

I have logged on as admin and tried to do this in the user properties, but there is no place to make a change.

You can do this via a security role.

Login as admin and access the admin control panel. Click Role Management and create a new role that has the Delete ability disabled. Once you've created your role, add said users to that role and that should take care of it.
