Link sugar to another database

Hi,

I am pretty new to sugar and I was wondering if this is possible and any pointers on how to do this.

I would like sugar to be able to link to another database which already contains certain details that sugar also stores, for example the address and contact details.

Is it possible to link sugar to my database so that sugar reads the address details from my database and is also able to update my database with any changes made.

My database is currently held on a seporate server, and the database is a postgres database.

Any help or advice would be appriciated.

Hi, You can find some guides to using the soap interface in Sugar Wiiki and developers pages to do this. You would need to build an app to do the monitoring and replication.

Or you could also do it with the "Jitterbit" integration toolkit which has a Sugarcrm connector already and can also talk to postgres databases. This would be a simple solution. I have used it to integrate Sugarcrm into a number of applications.
