Linked (filtered) drop down menus

I have been working with Version 4.5.1d (Build 1273) Open Source and trying to see if we can adapt this to our company and have hit a snag.

We currently have many products at different versions and currently I cannot accommodate them all in the bug tracker section without making incredibly long or difficult drop downs.

Is there a way to have the drop down selections of one menu filter the results of another, so if drop down 1 selects the product, the version drop down would only show the various versions of that product.

I have only seen some older posts regarding java scripting but nothing else. I did not see this possibility in the professional version either. Is there any hope?

It is possible to do it, but you have do it via some custom Javascript in the EdtiView.html file.

Note that this is something you'd have to do outside of the built-in Studio, which means you'll have to manually re-insert these customizations upon upgrading.
