List View display of email opt-out field

Upgraded from 4.5.1 to 5.0.0d and added email opt-out to the list view from studio. Now, in the contacts list view and mass update panel, email opt-out fields are no longer being displayed correctly. The email opt-out field is blank in the list view and does not appear in the mass update panel. This makes it very difficult to check/set email opt-out for email marketing campaigns and I am being moaned at for upgrading!

Email opt-out does appear in the contact details but it is shown in the form "someone@somewhere.com (opted out)" with the someone@somewhere.com struck out. When you edit contact details the email address appears with a correct set of options to opt out, mark as primary and mark as invalid.

So is this down to me missing something or is there an issue with the display of email opt-out in the list view and mass update panels?

I've also been unable to find Email Opt (and also Invalid Email) out on the Contact Advanced Search page. This is an important field for my client, as they use it to search on regularly.

I've tried adding it via Studio > Contacts > Layout > Search > Advanced Search, but it doesn't appear on the list of fields which I can add to the form. What's the story? Has the field been replaced by something else?

Is there any way of using Mass Update within a Target List to change all the email addresses to Invalid?? I can't see any..
